right. yesterday jaden's class had a field trip to the salisbury zoo & i was a chaperone. my mother met us at the zoo & she was my co-chaperone. jaden & a classmate were the only kids in our group, but it felt there was about 6. my son is in a special ed kindergarten class as he has dev. & attention issues. he's in special ed, BUT not THAT special ed, dig? so, many of his classmate have about the same learning problems etc. this boy was a piece of work. i now know what napolean dynamite was like in early elementary. everyone touched poop except him, my hair had bugs in it, the zoo was on fire, a hawk got him, (funny the zoo doesn't even have a hawk, but i did find an egret later & told him the "hawk" was going to get him if he doesn't settle down) the aligators were eating people, and he saw turtles everywhere. my mom was concerned that the boy was possibly mental & actually belived himself. jaden gets progress reports everyday about him acting up in class, hitting, and generally misbehaving. anyone who knows my son, knows that he is shy and meek unless someone else starts horseplaying with him & then he comes out of his shell. except for his school, i am constantly told how well he is behaved and what good manners he has. my son was a model student and the zoo and this kid was jerry lewis on speed & just as lovable. i wanted to give him to the french. we gladly put him on the returning bus. if i knew i could get away with it, i would have put him on another school's bus & ran away.

Jaden, mom & i went to the store my stepfather & my stepsister and her husband run in parsonsburg. they like to go to storeage auctions & buy way too much stuff. in the past they would keep what they wanted & sell the rest of the lot to another auction. instead now, they rent a storefront & just do it themselves. the best part of it is, my sister can stay with her two youngest childern & run the store herself. we went there & played with babies for a few hours. i met my newest niece catherine she is so lovely! baby charlie can walk & run now but will only do it in a walker. he doesn't even sit in the thing! kristel's oldest daughter gets off on the bus there & jaden had plenty of time to run wild with her. there were some old schwin tricyles from the 60's & they were about held together with duct tape, but the kids didn't care & they ran wild through the parking lot with baby charlie running behind in his walker. big charlie works for a sawmill company or something like that & brought some couches to the store in a tracture trailer meant for woodchips. jaden got in the back & ran back and forth through the trailer & "helped" charlie move the couches. later, he got to get up in the cab and blow the horn, only he just about put the truck in gear!

from there we went to my mom's house & had pizza for dinner & jaden wantched noggin afterwards. mom & i bummed around the house. i ended up staying longer than i meant & nearly fell asleep on the way home! poor jaden had school today, but he seems to not mind 6 hours of sleep. i can funtion, do to my insomia, on no sleep, but when i finally do get sleep, my body hates me for every hour i missed & wants to catch up every single 1 in duplicate. i feel like crap but jaden had a great day, so i guess mission accomplished.
